A stable name for every site, no matter what the ISP does.
Simple managed Dynamic DNS for businesses and technology professionals. Your firewall reports its public address, JustASRV keeps the hostname pointed at it, and your VPNs, remote access and monitoring keep working when the ISP changes the IP.

What Dynamic DNS does
Most business internet connections get their public IP address from the ISP by DHCP. It can change after a modem reboot, an outage, or simply because the lease moved. Anything that connects to the site by address breaks when it does: site-to-site VPNs, remote desktop gateways, camera systems, phone systems, monitoring.
Dynamic DNS gives the site a hostname instead. The firewall tells JustASRV its current address, and the hostname follows it. Point your VPN peers, apps and allow-lists at site.ddns.justasrv.com and stop chasing IP changes.
Why a managed service
- Hostnames are provisioned per customer and site, not by whoever signs up for a free account.
- Every hostname has its own credential. One compromised router cannot touch another hostname.
- Stale sites are flagged in the NOC. Records are never silently deleted.
- A real audit trail of every change, credential and login.
- Operated and supported by the people who manage your network.
How it works
No agent is required on firewalls that already speak the DynDNS v2 protocol, which is most of them.
Works with the equipment you already have
Anything that supports a custom DynDNS-compatible provider or can make an HTTPS request. Tested configuration guides for each.
Fortinet, SonicWall and consumer routers: see the compatibility notes. Where a device only offers a fixed provider list, the lightweight JustASRV updater runs on any Windows or Linux machine at the site instead.
Security built in, not bolted on
JustASRV is Internet-facing infrastructure and is built that way. The update API cannot be used to change anything except the one hostname a credential belongs to, and the address it publishes is the one the request actually came from unless a site is explicitly configured otherwise.
- 256-bit per-hostname tokens, stored only as keyed hashes. Rotate or revoke instantly.
- HTTPS only. Rate limiting and automatic blocking of credential guessing.
- Strict tenant isolation: customers see only their own organization.
- Two-factor authentication for all administrative access.
- Audit log of logins, provisioning, credential changes and every update.
Reliability, stated honestly
The records are served by a global anycast authoritative DNS network, not by our application server. If the JustASRV application is ever unavailable, every hostname keeps resolving to its last known address; only changes wait until it returns, and firewalls retry automatically.
Live component health and measured uptime are published at status.justasrv.com.
A portal for your team
Customers get their own portal: every site and hostname, the current and previous address, when it last checked in, and whether it is online, stale or offline. Authorized users can issue, rotate and revoke credentials for their own hostnames and nothing else.
